Dr. Kontak graduated from Miami University in 1995 with Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology. He received his medical degree at Medical College of Ohio in 1999, where he graduated with honors as an Alpha Omega Alpha Scholar and a Verron-Valland Scholor. Both his general surgery internship and urology residency were accomplished at Loyola University in Chicago, where he was a Pfizer scholar and completed his training in 2005.

Dr. Kontak joined Urology Partners in 2005 and is currently a partner in the group. He is certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Kontak is active in several hospital committees and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

Dr. Kontak specialized in adult and pediatric urology and has a wide range of expertise that includes advanced kidney stone procedures, vasectomy, genitourinary cancers, voiding disorders in both men and woman, prostate, bladder and kidney diseases, as well as all other aspects of general urology. He provides access and expertise in the most updated technology for all urologic disorders. Dr. Kontak is an active member of the American Urological Association and past vice-president of American Medical Student Association at Medical College of Ohio.
